Job summary

Opus Recruitment Solutions Limited is seeking a Data Architect for the New Style Modernisation programme. The role is remote with 3–4 days per month onsite in Newcastle. You will understand data requirements, design data structures and processes, and ensure data flows meet National Statistics and other stakeholder needs.

Qualifications

• Design and modelling of data architecture using patterns and standards.
• Presenting data architecture designs to governance forums.
• Data modelling, MDM, metadata management, and data governance.
• Event-based architecture with pub-sub and data streaming patterns.
• Cloud hosting, networking design patterns and best practices (AWS/Azure/GCP).
• Agile delivery methodologies and CI/CD practices.
• Shaping and supporting technology initiatives, projects and portfolios.

Responsibilities

• Bridge between data stakeholders and teams to determine data requirements.
• Identify and document data structures, processes and systems for NS modernisation.
• Ensure data flows to National Statistics and other requirements are met.
• Support governance and architecture reviews and provide input on data strategy.
