Job summary

Ping Identity is seeking a Cyber Security Manager to lead the operational delivery and maturity of its Cyber Security Engineering function. This role blends people leadership with hands-on ownership across incident response, detection engineering, security automation, cloud security, and on-call readiness.

You will coordinate priorities, improve team capacity, and partner with engineering, infrastructure, product, and operations stakeholders to raise security maturity across enterprise systems.

Qualifications

• Experience leading or managing day-to-day security operations, security engineering, incident response, or technical operations teams.
• Experience with incident response including coordination of complex incidents involving multiple teams.
• Experience building team capacity and improving operational processes.
• Experience with Security Orchestration and Automation tooling, as well as scripting automation.
• Experience with SIEM/SOAR, Google Chronicle and YARA-L.
• Experience with cloud environments, AWS and GCP.
• Experience with Kubernetes and Docker in development and incident response contexts.
• Experience deploying, operating, or utilising Endpoint Detection and Response tools.
• Experience leading cross-functional projects and influencing teams outside of direct reporting lines.

Responsibilities

• Run and coordinate the day-to-day operational activities of the Cyber Security Engineering team.
• Develop and mature incident response processes and playbooks.
• Lead on-call rotation and incident response coordination.
• Provide technical and operational leadership across security functions.
• Collaborate with engineering, infrastructure, product, and operations teams to improve security outcomes.
