Job summary

Scottish Borders Council is seeking a Customer Advice and Revenues Officer to support customers within the Council Tax recovery initiative. The post is initially a homeworking position with up to 35 hours per week, available as full-time or part-time, and the role is allocated to a dedicated recovery team until 31 March 2028.

Following the project, successful candidates will transfer to one of our Customer Advice and Support teams located across the Scottish Borders, delivering a broad range of

• At least 5 SCE Standard Grades at level 3 or above (or equivalent) including English.

Responsibilities

• Support customers in Council Tax recovery processes.
• Contribute to the effective collection of Council Tax.
• Work from home initially with hours arranged; later transfer to a Customer Advice and Support team.
