Job summary

Pearson is seeking a Specialist, Content Developer to craft content for computer assessments and collaborate with global teams. You will manage multiple exam programs, train SMEs, and ensure items meet standards, with involvement in AI integration where appropriate.

You will work with measurement teams and clients to build fair, reliable examinations, applying best practices in assessment and data-driven improvements. Remote-friendly, with travel as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; master's degree preferred.
• Experience as editor, content or test developer, or related coursework preferred.
• Experience with generative AI, LLMs and prompt engineering preferred.

Responsibilities

• Liaise with programme and project teams; determine content development requirements with clients.
• Train SMEs for item writing and review.
• Coordinate item banking elements like images, translations and audio as needed.
• Conduct item writing and item review sessions.
• Review items for house style and test specifications.
• Specify setup requirements for item banking tools for Pearson VUE clients.
• Maintain documentation and version control; ensure security of materials.
• Escalate risks to ensure high-quality items meet deadlines.
• Document processes and identify improvements.
• Ensure items are prepared on budget and on schedule.
• Manage contracting and payment of item writers and subcontractors.
• Perform other duties as assigned by Content Development Manager.
