Job summary

Field Energy is seeking a Construction Site Manager for a UK remote position managing a 200MW/800MWh BESS project. You will oversee all site activities, ensuring safety, quality, and programme adherence while coordinating with the Project Management Team and contractors across civils, electrical, and controls/SCADA scopes.

The role requires strong CDM 2015, RAMS, PTW knowledge, and a proactive, delivery-focused mindset. UK driving licence and willingness to travel are essential.

Qualifications

• Proven site-based delivery experience on UK energy infrastructure with exposure to BESS and/or HV BOP works.
• Strong understanding of construction sequencing across civils + electrical + controls/SCADA.
• CDM 2015, RAMS, PTW, and contractor management.
• High-quality reporting and completion-focused mindset.
• Confident communicator able to challenge poor practice safely.
• Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel.
• Experience reviewing QMP, ITP and NCRs.

Responsibilities

• Take full responsibility for the day-to-day management of site activities, ensuring safety, efficiency, and programme alignment.
• Lead site briefings, inspections, and audits, addressing risks and non-conformances promptly.
• Oversee on-site management of civils, electrical and controls/SCADA installations.
• Coordinate and supervise contractors, subcontractors and trades to align with requirements.
• Monitor progress against milestones and drive corrective actions to protect schedule.
• Support pre-commissioning and commissioning activities and energisation readiness packs.
• Maintain clear communication with Project Management Team and stakeholders.
