Job summary

Dentons is seeking a commercially minded Commercial Paralegal to join our Legal Delivery Centre. The role involves drafting, reviewing, and negotiating commercial contracts, and supporting delivery with lawyers and client teams in a fully virtual setting.

The successful candidate will work with technology and AI tools to improve efficiency, while developing through a structured training program and flexible working arrangements.

Qualifications

• Strong academic record, degree or equivalent preferred.
• Interest in commercial law and developing experience in commercial contracts.
• Some exposure to commercial contracts or stakeholder engagement in a professional services environment.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow structured processes.
• Ability to organise, prioritise and manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
• Demonstrates initiative and ownership of work.
• Curious, proactive learner with interest in clients and their businesses.

Responsibilities

• Drafting, reviewing and amending commercial contracts and related documents.
• Supporting contract negotiations and progressing matters to completion.
• Conducting legal and commercial research.
• Managing allocated tasks and matters with appropriate supervision.
• Communicating clearly with lawyers, clients and stakeholders.
• Triaging and prioritising work to meet deadlines.
• Using AI, legal technology and automation tools to support efficient delivery.
• Engaging positively with new tools, systems and ways of working.
• Identifying opportunities to improve efficiency and consistency in recurring work.
