Job summary

Adjusting Appointments Limited is seeking experienced Commercial Adjusters to manage a portfolio of losses across London, South East and South West region from a home base. You will book appointments, visit losses worth typically £10,000–£100,000, and drive settlements through the supply chain, using Symbility for scheduling.

A strong field/office balance is required. You will handle up to 160 losses per year with a caseload of 50-60 ongoing claims, collaborating with customers and insurers to

Qualifications

• Experience dealing with commercial losses.
• Ability to assess evidence on-site and reserve requirements.
• Prepare case decisions and communicate outcomes to customers.
• Support customers to minimise future claims.
• Progress towards professional qualifications beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Undertaking assessments of allocated claims at the scene to gather relevant evidence and assess potential loss and reserving requirements.
• Preparing and delivering case decisions and solutions to the customer within approved processes.
• Providing precautionary and post-loss advice to minimise claims.
• Managing customer interactions to ensure satisfaction and escalate as needed.
• Identifying non-standard or complex claims and escalating appropriately.
• Contributing to policy wording reviews to keep documentation current.
• Providing guidance to colleagues to develop knowledge of customers and risks.
