Qualifications

• Hands-on Linux administration experience, ideally with distributed systems.
• Experience running moderately sized systems on Azure and related services.
• Automation of production Linux systems using version control and tooling.
• Ability to write code for automation in Python and Go, with some Java/Scala knowledge.
• Familiar with config management tools (Ansible/Puppet/Chef) and related workflows.

Responsibilities

• Grow the Cloud Site Reliability team as the first line for Elastic's products.
• Automate operations and build tools to support scalable, reliable services.
• Collaborate across engineering to influence product direction and reliability.
• Represent work in GitHub workflow through issues and pull requests.
