Job summary

Atholl Accountancy Limited is seeking a Client Manager on a flexible part- or full-time basis (21–35 hours per week). The role offers genuine flexibility with most work from home and occasional local client visits in the Forth Valley area.

You will nurture client relationships, oversee junior staff, and prepare complex accounts while embracing cloud-based software and evolving technology. The firm values curiosity, proactive thinking, and a modern, flexible working approach.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years' experience in general practice
• Proficiency in cloud accounting software (Xero certification or equivalent)
• Strong client relationship skills
• Natural curiosity and eagerness to learn
• Proactive approach and independent thinking
• Ability to explain complex concepts simply
• Experience with app integrations (e.g., Shopify)
• Knowledge of payroll and CIS (Construction Industry Schemes)
• Understanding of modern accounting methods
• Commercial acumen

Responsibilities

• Take a genuine interest in understanding clients' businesses and goals
• Manage junior members of staff, including allocating and reviewing their work
• Prepare complex accounts and assist with adhoc work as needed
• Manage client portfolios and relationships
