Job summary

Komodo Law, headquartered in Brighton and operating as a remote-first team, seeks a claimant experienced Solicitor to manage active caseloads across personal injury, credit hire, and recoveries. You will steer cases through small claims and fast-track proceedings while building capacity for supervisory work, delivering compassionate client guidance and precise drafting.

The role reports to the Practice Manager and sits in a team of 6.

Qualifications

• SRA Qualification with England & Wales practising certificate.
• Working knowledge of Civil Procedure Rules, pre-action protocols, and court processes.
• Experience managing a high-volume caseload with attention to detail.
• Empathetic, calm communication and conflict de-escalation.
• Commercial mindset with risk awareness and escalation when needed.

Responsibilities

• Direct files from initial instruction through to final conclusion, maintaining quality benchmarks and risk controls.
• Provide timely, accessible counsel to drivers during vulnerable moments, translating complex legal terms into clear guidance.
• Draft pleadings, witness statements, letters of claim, and bundles to build strong arguments.
• Lead settlement negotiations while briefing counsel when hearings arise.
• Leverage case management systems to track deadlines, tasks, and ensure SRA compliance.
• Share knowledge and mentor colleagues as the practice grows.
