Job summary

Alignerr is seeking chemistry experts for a fully remote AI data training role. You will evaluate and improve AI systems trained on advanced chemistry content, shaping how AI reasons about complex chemistry problems.

The position is a flexible hourly contract open to those pursuing or holding a Master's in Chemistry or a related field. Expected commitment ranges from 10 to 40 hours per week, with remote collaboration and global participation.

Qualifications

• Pursuing or holding a Master's degree in Chemistry or related field.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills across advanced chemistry domains.
• Ability to communicate complex scientific concepts clearly in writing.
• Detail-oriented with a systematic approach to evaluating quality.
• Able to work independently and asynchronously.

Responsibilities

• Design advanced chemistry problems to rigorously test AI performance across topics like chemical engineering, biochemistry, and physical chemistry.
• Develop clear, step-by-step solutions with precise, well-structured reasoning.
• Evaluate AI-generated outputs for scientific accuracy and quality of reasoning.
• Collaborate with researchers to refine benchmarks spanning undergraduate through Master's-level chemistry.
• Provide structured, actionable feedback that directly improves AI model performance.
