Job summary

Mindrift is seeking a freelance CFD specialist to train and evaluate AI agents on advanced fluid simulations. You will take CAD geometry, configure and run simulations, and develop verified reference solutions with Python checks to ensure agent results are accurate.

Requirements include a mechanical or aerospace engineering degree (PhD preferred), hands-on CFD with major tools, and strong verification practices. Remote work and performance-based bonuses are offered.

Qualifications

• A degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering, or a related field; PhD preferred but not required.
• Several years of hands-on CFD with OpenFOAM, ANSYS Fluent/CFX or STAR-CCM+, including meshing.
• Solid verification and validation practice: mesh-independence studies and validation against experiments or benchmarks.
• Comfortable with Python and GitHub.
• English at B2 level or above.

Responsibilities

• Train and evaluate AI agents on expert-level fluid simulation tasks.
• Take CAD geometry, set up and run simulations.
