A leading media software house in the UK is seeking an experienced C++ Developer / Technical Lead to progress in a hands-on role. Candidates will design and implement features for a multi-threaded iTV broadcasting application. The ideal candidate will have strong C++ skills, technical leadership experience, knowledge of media broadcasting technology, and will promote best practices. This role allows remote work across the UK and offers a competitive package, including a salary up to £95k.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of media broadcasting technology required.
• Experience with C++ 11/17 and moving to C++ 20.
• Hands-on technical leadership and mentoring experience needed.
• Good knowledge of SQL is important.
• Experience with QT is required.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills needed.
• Understanding of OOP, Data Structures, and Design Patterns necessary.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills are required.

• Design and implement new features on the core automation playout software.
• Mentor others and champion development techniques.
• Promote use of reviews and latest technologies.
