Job summary

TechHavenLabs seeks a Blockchain Backend Developer to build and maintain the backend that connects our products to EVM networks and smart contracts. You will own RPC communication, event indexing, transaction monitoring, persistence, and on-chain/off-chain synchronization.

Join a team building two main platforms and collaborating with smart-contract, Web3, and full‑stack engineers. You will implement robust APIs, logging, tests, and reliable processing against complex blockchain data.

Qualifications

• Backend experience with Node.js and TypeScript.
• Experience connecting backend services to EVM-compatible blockchains.
• Strong understanding of JSON-RPC and HTTP/WebSocket RPC providers.
• Experience processing smart-contract events, logs, and transaction receipts.
• Experience storing blockchain data in a relational database with idempotent processing.
• Experience with background workers, queues, retries, and failure handling.
• Ability to build secure, documented APIs and own task quality end to end.
• Strong debugging skills and clear communication across engineering roles.

Responsibilities

• Connect backend services to EVM networks via HTTP and WebSocket RPC providers.
• Index smart-contract events and store normalized blockchain data.
• Monitor transactions from submission through confirmation, including failures and replacements.
• Synchronize on-chain activity with off-chain records through idempotent processing.
• Build secure APIs for transaction history, indexed events, network status, and verification results.
• Run background workers and queues for indexing and confirmation jobs with retries and failure handling.
• Account for chain reorganizations and confirmation policies before finalizing off-chain state.
• Collaborate with smart-contract, Web3, and full-stack teammates on events, deployments, and integration contracts.
• Add logging, metrics, and tests to keep blockchain processing observable.
