Job summary

A leading IT services provider is seeking an Azure Support Engineer to work remotely. The role involves providing proactive advice and support for Azure Managed Service customers. Candidates should have experience with Azure and familiarity with cloud frameworks, alongside a strong background in support environments. Qualifications

• Microsoft Azure experience preferred but other public cloud experience accepted.
• Awareness of Microsoft's Cloud Adoption and Well Architected Frameworks.
• Experience working in a support or service desk environment.
• Knowledge of networking principles ideally in public cloud.
• Foundational knowledge of firewalls.
• Experience supporting Windows Server environments.

Responsibilities

• Provide proactive advice on resource cost optimization.
• Act as a point of escalation for tickets from support.
• Liaise with Microsoft for escalations.
• Manage incidents and problem tickets.
• Complete configuration changes on Azure platforms.
• Review cost and best practice with customers.
• Configure alerts using cloud monitoring platform.
