Job summary

A leading retail technology firm in Welwyn Garden City is seeking a Senior Azure Cloud Security Engineer. The role requires managing Azure policies, providing security architecture advice, and working closely with senior stakeholders. Ideal candidates will have at least 5 years of experience in Azure roles and a strong understanding of Azure security best practices. Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years’ experience in a senior Azure architecture or engineer role.
• Comprehensive knowledge of Microsoft Azure, with familiarity with other cloud platforms being a plus.

Responsibilities

• Manage Azure Policy direction and support exemptions.
• Ensure design, review, and delivery of upcoming Azure policies.
• Assess suitability and impact of Azure policy exemptions.
• Act as an SME advisor on Azure security-related initiatives.
• Deliver through centralized controls to support organizational goals.
• Provide security architecture advice to business functions.
• Support senior stakeholders in Cloud Platform Engineering on security deliverables.

Skills

Knowledge of Azure best practices

Experience with Azure CLI, PowerShell or Azure Graph REST API

Ability to operate independently

Strong communication skills
