Ballards LLP in South Africa invites applications for an Audit Senior role to support UK audit engagements while based remotely in South Africa. You’ll work with owner-managed and corporate groups, delivering high-quality audits under UK methodologies and coordinating with UK teams.

Qualifications

• External audit experience in an accountancy practice.
• Experience with UK auditing and reporting requirements is advantageous.
• Strong written and verbal English communication; ability to collaborate with UK teams.

Responsibilities

• Deliver and coordinate audit work for UK SMEs, groups and larger companies, under the direction of UK engagement managers.
• Coordinate with UK engagement teams, support junior colleagues and communicate audit queries clearly.
• Support audit planning, fieldwork, testing and completion, maintaining clear and accurate working papers.
• Build effective working relationships with colleagues and, where appropriate, clients.
• Review work and mentor trainees and junior team members as required.
• Deliver work accurately and on time, in line with applicable UK audit methodologies and quality requirements.
• Identify and elevate audit issues promptly and contribute to improvements in audit delivery.
