Job summary

Trevor James Recruitment Limited is partnering with an ambitious, growing accountancy practice to recruit an Audit Senior. This is an exciting opportunity to join a start-up firm founded by experienced professionals who have built their careers within established mid-tier practices, with a strong team and a growing client portfolio.

The role is fully remote, offering flexibility while you help shape the business, gain exposure to different areas of the practice, and deliver high-quality audits

Qualifications

• Experience in an audit-focused role within an accountancy practice.
• Experience planning and completing audit assignments.
• Ability to prepare well-organised audit files for senior or director review.
• Strong understanding of audit procedures, testing and documentation.
• Good organisational and communication skills to manage workload remotely.

Responsibilities

• Planning and completing audit assignments across a varied client portfolio.
• Preparing high-quality audit files for director review.
• Carrying out audit testing and detailed fieldwork where required.
• Reviewing audit work and ensuring documentation and evidence are in place.
• Managing audit assignments to meet deadlines and maintain quality standards.
• Building strong relationships with clients and colleagues.
• Supporting the development of audit processes and working practices as the firm grows.
• Taking ownership of assignments while remaining flexible and willing to get involved at all levels.
