Job summary

Version 1 is seeking an Applied AI Architect to work in our Forward Deployed capability. You will design, build, deploy and maintain production-grade, multi‑agent AI systems for clients, acting as a trusted adviser to their AI architects and engineers.

In this deeply technical role, you will set technical standards, run workshops, and co‑design architectures while mentoring colleagues. You’ll stay current on frameworks and models to shape decisions and deliver tangible client value.

Qualifications

• Proven agentic systems experience in production.
• Genuine consultant mindset with client-facing skills.
• Deep architectural credibility: orchestration, routing, guardrails.
• Current hands-on expertise with LLMs and agent frameworks.
• Production experience designing multi-agent architectures and runtimes.

Responsibilities

• Advise customer AI architects and engineers as the trusted technical adviser.
• Lead discovery, workshops and architecture reviews with stakeholders.
• Co-design multi-agent architectures, including orchestration, memory, routing and guardrails.
• Create reference implementations, evaluation suites and accelerator code.
• Address production challenges like hallucination, tool-call failures and latency.
• Set and enforce technical standards for complex agent engagements.
• Define evaluation and observability strategies (eval suites, tracing, monitoring).
• Mentor junior consultants on advanced AI engineering practices.
• Develop reusable technical IP for Version 1’s toolkit.
• Stay current with agent frameworks and orchestration patterns.
