Job summary

Optibrium is seeking an experienced drug discovery scientist for a maternity-cover role. This fully remote, 12‑month fixed-term contract allows you to support a global customer base while guiding scientists in using StarDrop, Cerella and BioPharmics to accelerate discovery projects.

You will partner with customers to demonstrate, train, and solve real problems, presenting to diverse scientific audiences and maintaining strong relationships with chemists and project leaders.

Qualifications

• PhD or degree in chemistry or a closely related science.
• Experience designing and making compounds in pharma/biotech/CRO.
• Ability to present to diverse scientific audiences.

Responsibilities

• Be the single point of contact for customers and build relationships with medicinal chemists, computational scientists and project leaders.
• Demonstrate and train customers to extract value from StarDrop, Cerella and BioPharmics.
• Run online software demonstrations, trainings, and workshops for customers.
• Collaborate with Account Management on evaluations and renewals, bringing scientific expertise.
• Answer scientific and technical questions, including installation and licensing.
