European Software Solutions (UK) Limited is seeking a talented Android Engineer to design, develop, and maintain mobile applications used by cardholders worldwide. You will collaborate with designers, product owners, QA, and engineers to deliver features with high performance, security, and reliability.

The role emphasizes modern Android development with Jetpack Compose, MVI, REST APIs, and CI/CD pipelines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Proficiency in Java and Kotlin with hands-on Android development experience.
• Familiarity with Jetpack Compose, MVI, REST APIs.
• Experience with Gradle, GitHub Actions, CircleCI and CI patterns.
• Strong debugging, performance analysis, and optimization skills; handle legacy code.
• Experience with Coroutines, RxJava, Flow; testing with Espresso and JUnit.
• Open-source contributions and experience working with globally distributed teams; backend service integration.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain high-quality Android applications using Java and Kotlin.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and implement new features.
• Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code adhering to best practices and standards.
• Implement and maintain automated testing frameworks to ensure stability.
• Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback.
• Identify and troubleshoot bugs, performance bottlenecks, and issues; provide timely solutions.
• Optimize app performance through profiling and tuning for a smooth user experience.
• Work with backend teams to integrate APIs and services.
• Stay updated with industry trends to bring innovative solutions.
• Contribute to scalable and maintainable mobile software architecture.
