Job summary

Jefferson Frank is seeking an Analytics Engineer to design, model, and optimise data pipelines using SQL, Snowflake, and Looker. You will collaborate with data scientists and engineering teams to shape source data and deliver scalable data products across the business.

You will work with modern data platforms and contribute to Looker-driven analytics while ensuring data quality and governance in a remote, UK-based setup.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of experience in Analytics Engineering, BI Engineering, or Data Engineering.
• Excellent hands-on SQL skills with strong data modelling and data warehousing knowledge.
• Proven experience with cloud-based MPP data warehouses such as Snowflake, BigQuery, or Redshift.
• 2+ years' experience with Looker or a similar BI tool.
• Strong understanding of ETL/ELT processes, data transformations, and pipeline dependencies.
• Practical experience with version control and data engineering best practices.
• Python experience, particularly for automation and integrations, is highly desirable.
• Experience with the Looker API and Ads domain would be advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain clean, scalable data models and datasets using SQL.
• Develop and optimise SQL-based data transformation and ELT/ETL processes.
• Work with Snowflake and other cloud-based data platforms to support business-critical analytics.
• Collaborate with data scientists, product engineering teams, and analytics engineers to meet downstream data requirements.
• Develop and optimise Looker datasets and dashboards to improve data accessibility and adoption.
• Ensure data quality, reliability, performance, and documentation across analytics datasets.
• Apply data modelling and warehousing best practices to deliver intuitive, denormalised, and aggregated datasets.
• Troubleshoot and optimise existing data pipelines and transformations to improve efficiency and scalability.
• Contribute to the continued development and adoption of Looker as a core data product across the business.
