DataAnnotation is seeking an experienced mathematician to design challenging mathematical problems for AI models. You will judge correct reasoning versus plausible derivations and create the ground truth for model scoring, combining deep math with strong coding skills.

Paid on a contract basis, you will work from home with flexible scheduling, in a role focused on teaching AI to reason rather than appear plausible. In the UK, PayPal handles payments in USD for this remote position.

Qualifications

• Fluent in English, native or bilingual level.
• Active research background in mathematics or statistics.
• Experience with reproducible environments such as Docker is a plus.

Responsabilités

• Design complex mathematical tasks in your area of expertise.
• Define what a correct answer looks like and the standard a model has to meet.
• Test and validate the task yourself before you submit it.
• Write a step-by-step solution another researcher could reproduce.
• Design tasks a model cannot solve by replaying a known result and flag where reasoning breaks.
• Work across numerical analysis, optimization, probability and statistics, applied analysis, and scientific machine learning.
