Job summary

DataAnnotation in the United Kingdom is seeking software engineers to join our contracting software engineering team. You will work on AI-related coding tasks, design and implement problems, test environments, and help advance AI models through clean, well-documented code.

This is a remote, independent contractor role with hourly pay starting at $50–$100+ per hour. After a short assessment, you’ll receive email confirmation and gain access to paid projects on our platform.

Qualifications

• Fluency in English, native or bilingual.
• Proficiency in at least one modern programming language such as Python, JavaScript, TypeScript, Java, C, C#, C++, Go, Kotlin, Swift, or React.
• Strong software engineering fundamentals: problem-solving, debugging, and code review.
• Excellent written communication skills.
• A bachelor’s degree (completed or in progress).
• Previous experience as a Software Engineer or similar role preferred.

Responsibilities

• Create and work with coding environments, unit tests, and verifiers.
• Design and solve diverse coding problems used to train AI systems.
• Write clear, high-quality code and technical explanations.
• Evaluate model trajectories for accuracy, performance, readability, and best practices.
• Identify bugs, edge cases, and opportunities for improvement in AI-generated solutions.
• Provide structured feedback to improve future AI models.
