Job summary

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years’ experience in a related field.
• Able to plan your own schedule and commit to agreed times/bookings.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Desirable: experience as Independent Assessor, coach or tutor.
• Desirable: grading experience and good understanding of apprenticeship standards.
• Optional safeguarding training.

Responsibilities

• Respond to assessment bookings in a timely manner.
• Carry out assessments via video call.
• Mark submitted evidence using a defined assessment plan and grading criteria.
• Make sound judgments about apprentice knowledge and competence.
• Provide robust feedback to the apprentice and determine an overall grade.
• Attend standardisation meetings twice annually.
• Work as part of the 1st for Awarding assessment team.
• Maintain your own professional development.
