Job summary

National Skills Agency Ltd is seeking an experienced AI Trainer to deliver high-quality training and development programmes to AI apprentices, with a remote working setup and a salary between £45,000 and £60,000.

The role combines a strong hands-on IT background with experience delivering AI and data apprenticeship programmes, mentoring learners and assessing progress within a work‑based learning environment.

Qualifications

• Strong IT background with hands-on experience in software, data, cloud, AI/ML or related tech.
• Experience delivering AI or data apprenticeship programmes.
• Experience training, mentoring and assessing apprentices within apprenticeship/work-based learning.
• Solid understanding of apprenticeship standards, EPA and progression.
• Excellent communication, coaching and facilitation skills.
• Ability to translate complex technical concepts into practical learning experiences.
• Understanding of employer needs in AI and data sectors.

Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging, technically rigorous training across AI apprenticeships.
• Support apprentices in developing practical, job-ready technical skills.
• Plan and deliver learning sessions, workshops and practical activities.
• Assess learner progress and provide high-quality feedback, coaching and support.
• Work closely with employers, apprenticeship teams and stakeholders to support learner outcomes.
• Ensure training content remains current and relevant to AI, data and emerging technologies.
• Support learners throughout their apprenticeship journey, helping them build knowledge, skills and behaviours to meet the relevant apprenticeship standard.
