Job Description:

SYNOPSIS

You will act as part of Emocien’s Advisory Committee, inputting into Emocien’s policies, procedures and practices to drive continually improving inclusion and safeguarding.

ROLE

You will work online and remotely from a location that suits you. You will work for 16 hours each year at a rate of 50.00 per hour. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Input into Emocien’s policies and procedures;
  • Attend Advisory Committee meetings and participate constructively;
  • Build and improve Emocien’s Resource Centre;
  • Write posts and blogs to help other Emocien Members learn about their mental health issues and how to effectively manage them.

You must have relevant experience, especially understanding where to find relevant resources, how to participate in management meetings, and how to constructively post and comment on social media.

QUALIFICATIONS

You will be an expert in one of the more commonly occurring mental health issues, either as a qualified clinician or through lived experience – Emocien values and seeks both forms of expertise.

You will possess the skills and experience necessary to perform the role effectively. Similar experience gained elsewhere is essential.

You will also understand the importance of sticking to your area of expertise and acting constructively when working with Emocien colleagues and when corresponding with Emocien Members.
