Job summary

Psychiatry UK is seeking an ADHD Ongoing Care Prescriber for a home-based, remote, full-time role in the UK. The position offers £50,000 per annum FTE plus £1,000 home working allowance, with 40 hours per week and occasional travel to meetings.

You will provide ongoing prescribing, monitoring, and medication reviews for adults with ADHD, escalate complex cases, work within NICE guidelines, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team.

Qualifications

• RMN or RN with at least a year in a secondary mental health setting.
• Post-qualification mental health training (desirable).
• Independent Prescribing (V300) qualification is required.
• At least one year post-prescribing experience.
• Ongoing prescribing experience is desirable but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Provide safe prescribing for adult ADHD in line with NICE and clinical governance.
• Manage ongoing prescribing, medication reviews, adherence and side-effects.
• Respond to patient queries with secure, compassionate advice.
• Prescribe independently or as supplementary prescriber with supervision when needed.
• Collaborate with prescribers, psychiatrists and MDTs for patient-centred care.
• Conduct risk assessments and escalation per organisational policies.
• Maintain accurate, confidential clinical records in digital systems.
• Participate in audits, QA initiatives and prescribing reviews.
• Engage in clinical supervision and CPD to maintain high standards.
• Contribute to development of prescribing pathways and service delivery.
