Job summary

The Owl Centre is seeking a Non-Medical Prescriber to deliver evidence-based ADHD assessment, prescribing and ongoing care for children, young people and adults. You’ll work autonomously within your scope, titrating medications and conducting risk assessments in line with NICE guidance.

You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, families and GPs to provide joined-up care, maintain accurate records and contribute to service development while upholding governance standards.

Qualifications

• Qualified healthcare professional (NMC/GMC/HCPC/GPhC) with current registration.
• Has Independent and supplementary Non-Medical Prescribing (V300) qualification or is a GP.
• Experience in ADHD service including assessment, titration and reviews.

Responsibilities

• Deliver ADHD assessment, prescribing and ongoing care per NICE guidance.
• Prescribe and monitor ADHD medications with appropriate physical health monitoring.
• Manage clinical risk and safeguarding, including risk assessments and escalation.
• Collaborate with patients, families and colleagues for joined-up care and shared decision-making.
• Maintain accurate, GDPR-compliant records and governance documentation.
• Participate in service improvement activities and quality improvement projects.
• Manage workload within scope, maintain CPD and raise capacity concerns when needed.
• Utilise electronic records and digital platforms to ensure confidentiality and efficiency.
