Digital Science is seeking a qualified accountant to join our Accounting, Tax & Corporate Reporting team for accurate financial reporting across entities in a remote‑first environment. You will support the general ledger, month-end/year-end close, reconciliations, audits, and compliance.

Qualifications

• Qualified accountant with a UK chartered or recognised accountancy qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent).
• 2+ years' post-qualification (or equivalent) experience in accounting, preferably in a tech or software company.
• Working knowledge of IFRS.

Responsabilités

• Contribute to financial statements: prepare supporting schedules and annual financial statements for assigned entities, in accordance with accounting standards and reporting deadlines.
• Maintain the general ledger: prepare and post journal entries and review ledger postings for accuracy, correct coding, and appropriate support.
• Deliver month-end and year-end close tasks: complete assigned close activities, including accruals, prepayments, and account reconciliations, flagging issues to the Group Financial Controller for review or resolution.
• Prepare balance sheet reconciliations: produce reconciliations for assigned accounts each month, investigating and clearing reconciling items.
• Support audits and compliance: provide information and workpapers for external and internal audits, and assist with tax and regulatory requirements (e.g. sales tax, VAT, transfer pricing).
• Support internal controls: follow and document internal control procedures, and raise suggested improvements.
• Work with revenue accounting: use the Revenue Accountant's output for revenue recognition and deferred revenue balances, referring revenue treatment questions to the Revenue Accountant (Digital Science's IFRS technical lead).
• Liaise with local external accountants: support statutory and tax compliance filings for assigned entities by providing information and responding to queries, escalating relationship, contract, or fee matters to the VP, Accounting & Tax.
• Support variance analysis: assist Finance Business Partners with actual vs. budget/forecast analysis by preparing data and commentary.
• Contribute to process improvement: suggest and help implement improvements to accounting processes and NetSuite workflows, applying an AI-first mindset, and provide day-to-day support to Junior Accountants where applicable.
