Job summary

Viasat in the United Kingdom is seeking a capable RTO Security Analyst to join the frontline 24x7 team. You will monitor the network for suspicious activity, triage alerts, and manage incidents across cloud and on‑premises environments.

The role requires experience with SOC operations, SIEM analysis, and threat triage; you will contribute to reducing false positives and blocking attacks. The 5‑week 12‑hour shift rota is fully remote with monthly days in the office.

Qualifications

• University degree in Information Security, Forensics, or Computer Science or equivalent.
• Experience analyzing SOC data and incident handling.
• Familiarity with SIEM, logs, and threat detection.
• Ability to triage and escalate security incidents.
• Excellent written and verbal English communication.

Responsibilities

• Monitor security events and manage cases and tickets in the SOC.
• Perform incident analysis across online and on-prem infrastructures.
• Determine attack types, triage events, and block threats.
• Document incidents with artifacts and indicators of compromise.
• Contribute to tuning security tools to reduce false positives.
