Job summary

OCS UK & Ireland is seeking a Project Manager to lead Capital Programme delivery across our store network, coordinating lifts, escalators, HVAC and fire alarm replacements while ensuring safety, budgets and schedules are met.

You will develop project scopes with the Facilities Management team, manage resources, chair progress meetings, track issues, and liaise with contractors, local authorities and stakeholders. Desirable qualifications include PRINCE2, PMP or APM.

  • Experience in facilities-related projects and FM environments.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects with strong organisational skills.
  • Risk management and stakeholder liaison experience.

Responsibilities

  • Develop project scopes with the Facilities Management team.
  • Deliver projects on time, within budget and to required standards.
  • Ensure resources are well allocated and maintain stakeholder relationships.
  • Lead weekly progress meetings and produce minutes.
  • Manage travel to stores for pre-start, interim and handover meetings.
  • Oversee handover and O&M documentation.

About The Role:

Hours per week: 9am to 5pm

The Project Manager will be responsible for proactively and independently managing all aspects of project development/delivery within the Capital Programme in the UK. This includes planning, coordinating, and executing the replacement of key assets such as lifts, escalators, HVAC, and fire alarm systems, ensuring compliance with safety standards, budget constraints, and timelines.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop multiple project scopes in collaboration with the Facilities Management team, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
  • Deliver projects on time, within budget, and to the required quality and regulatory standards.
  • Ensure projects are effectively resourced, and maintain strong relationships with internal teams, contractors, and stakeholders.
  • Conduct risk analysis, addressing potential issues such as lead times and landlord constraints.
  • Communicate effectively with store associates, contractors, the Facilities Management team, local authorities, and all stakeholders who may be impacted by the project.
  • Chair weekly project progress meetings, produce accurate minutes, and distribute to key stakeholders.
  • Develop and maintain project programmes and schedules.
  • Manage project deliverables in accordance with the agreed project plan.
  • Record and monitor project issues, escalating promptly where necessary.
  • Maintain and update project progress trackers, presenting accurate status reports when requested.
  • Manage your own travel to and from stores to undertake pre-start, interim, and handover meetings.
  • Take ownership of the project handover process, inspect installation quality prior to sign-on, and ensure all Operation & Maintenance (O&M) documentation is complete and accessible.
  • Ensure that the retail teams are kept up to date on any given project, in terms of key dates, delays, escalations.
  • On completion of pertinent projects, manage the successful integration of control systems in collaboration with E-ON.
  • Act as the primary liaison with E-ON to track and expedite delivery of post-visit documentation, ensuring reports are received, reviewed, and actioned promptly.
  • Prepare project tenders, obtain quotations, conduct quote analysis, and award contracts in line with procurement policies.
Desirable attributes
  • Recognised Project Management qualification (e.g., PRINCE2, PMP, APM).
  • Strong experience in managing facilities-related projects.
  • Background in Facilities Management.
  • Hands-­on experience with Mechanical & Electrical (M&E) systems and HVAC project delivery.
