Job summary

SEED Environmental is seeking a Remediation Technician/Engineer to join the Process Remediation Team. You will work on soil, groundwater, and surface water remediation systems across the UK, performing installation, operation and maintenance tasks with hands-on training provided.

The role suits someone at an early career stage or transitioning from a related technical/engineering background, with travel across the country and a supportive environment for development.

Qualifications

• Full UK driving licence is essential.
• Right to live and work in the UK is required.
• Practical hands-on approach to work with a proactive mindset.
• Good problem-solving skills and initiative.
• Confident using hand tools for installation and maintenance.
• Competent IT skills and data recording accuracy.
• Strong communication and organisational abilities.
• Willingness to travel across the UK and stay away from home when required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with installation, commissioning, operation and maintenance of remediation systems.
• Carry out routine servicing, maintenance and fault-finding on remediation equipment.
• Undertake groundwater, surface water and contaminated land monitoring activities.
• Collect environmental samples for laboratory analysis.
• Record monitoring data and system performance.
• Support pumping tests, groundwater recovery and remediation trials.
• Collaborate with drilling contractors, tanker operators and sub contractors.
• Maintain equipment and prep systems for deployment from workshop/yards.
• Liaise with clients, suppliers, and colleagues on site.
• Contribute to successful delivery of UK remediation projects.
