Job summary

Severn Trent Water in the United Kingdom is seeking a proactive leader to join the Potable Tanks Team in Shelton, delivering the potable tank remediation programme with a strong focus on safety, quality and environmental compliance.

You will collaborate with Assurance Specialists and Treatment Teams, perform remedial repairs under CDM regulations, engage stakeholders, and ensure materials handling and disposal minimise environmental impact while safeguarding colleagues and customers.

  • Qualified in health, safety and environmental standards, and water hygiene.
  • IT literate with MS Office and mobile applications.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver potable tank remedial programme in collaboration with Assurance Specialists and Treatment Teams, ensuring compliance with SLA requirements.
  • Perform and manage remedial repairs safely, following CDM regulations and environmental standards, with all permits in place.
  • Identify and resolve blockers, seek innovative solutions to improve efficiency and water quality resilience, and maintain strict health and safety practices.
  • Engage and coordinate with stakeholders, ensuring proper material handling, disposal, and minimal environmental impact during operations.

EVERYTHING YOU NEED TO KNOW

This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of our Potable Tanks Team at Shelton. You’ll be responsible for delivering the potable tank remediation programme with a strong focus on safety, quality, and environmental compliance. Ensuring all remedial works meet required standards, addressing water quality risks and maintaining consistent care for all tanks regardless of size or location.

Committed to continuous improvement and fostering a positive culture, while capturing accurate assurance data for asset grading and future investment planning. Demonstrates a proactive approach to safeguarding colleagues, customers, and the environment throughout all operations.

WHAT YOU’LL BRING TO THE ROLE

The successful candidate will have strong leadership and interpersonal skills with a proactive mindset. Qualified in health, safety, environmental standards, and water hygiene, with knowledge of potable water tanks and water-tightening materials. IT literate, able to use mobile applications and MS Office, Holds a full UK driving licence. The right skills and experience are important.
