We are currently recruiting on behalf of an outstanding 11–16 secondary school for girls in East London for a passionate and dedicated Religious Education Teacher.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a high-performing Humanities department and inspire students through engaging lessons that promote critical thinking, ethical awareness, and an understanding of different beliefs and cultures.

Duties as a Religious Education Teacher:

• Teach Religious Education across Key Stages 3 and 4
• Deliver engaging and thought-provoking lessons
• Encourage discussion, debate, and critical thinking
• Support students in developing an understanding of different faiths, beliefs, and ethical issues
• Assess, monitor, and track student progress
• Maintain high expectations for behaviour and achievement
• Contribute positively to the Humanities department and wider school community

Ideal Religious Education Teacher:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
• Experience teaching Religious Education within a secondary school setting
• Strong subject knowledge and curriculum understanding
• Excellent classroom management skills
• Ability to engage and motivate learners of all abilities
