Job summary

Step Teachers Ltd is recruiting for a Religious Education Teacher at a large 11–18 secondary school in North London. The role covers Key Stages 3 and 4 with potential KS5 opportunities, and offers a full-time, long-term contract starting November 2026.

The successful candidate will inspire students through engaging RE lessons, support academic excellence, and contribute to safeguarding and pastoral care within a high-achieving Humanities department.

Qualifications

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
• Experience teaching Religious Education in a secondary school.
• Strong subject knowledge and curriculum understanding.
• Excellent classroom management.
• Ability to engage students of all abilities.
• Strong communication and organisational skills.
• Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.

Responsibilities

• Teach Religious Education across Key Stages 3 and 4.

Duties as a Religious Education Teacher:
