Job description

We are seeking an enthusiastic and reflective Religious Studies Teacher to join a Humanities Faculty. The successful candidate will foster critical thinking, respectful debate, and a deep understanding of world religions, philosophy, and ethics. Beginning September 2025.

Duties as a Religious Studies Teacher:

• Teach Religious Studies across KS3/KS4/KS5, using a creative and inclusive approach
• Develop students' understanding of religious beliefs, moral issues, and cultural perspectives
• Create a respectful classroom culture that encourages open discussion and enquiry
• Contribute to curriculum development and departmental enrichment activities

Ideal Religious Studies Teacher:

• QTS and a degree in Religious Studies, Theology, Philosophy, or a related field
• Strong subject knowledge and a passion for exploring diverse worldviews
• Committed to promoting values of tolerance, empathy, and social awareness
• Effective classroom management and the ability to inspire students of all backgrounds and abilities
