Job summary

REESON Education is recruiting a Primary Teacher with Religious Education Lead to join a welcoming Catholic primary school in West London. The role focuses on developing a faith-based curriculum and leading RE across the school.

You will work with the Headteacher, parish and Diocese to embed Catholic values throughout school life, support pupils’ academic and spiritual growth, and drive RE provision in line with Diocesan requirements.

Qualifications

• QTS or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
• At least three years' teaching experience within a Catholic school.
• Strong track record of excellent teaching and learning.
• Secure understanding of Religious Education and ability to inspire pupils and colleagues.
• Experience of assessment, monitoring and evaluating pupil progress.
• Ability to lead and support colleagues effectively.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop Religious Education across the school.
• Monitor teaching, planning, assessment and pupil progress in RE.
• Support colleagues through guidance, modelling, CPD and resources.
• Ensure curriculum coverage, continuity and progression in Diocesan terms.
• Support prayer and liturgical life, including Masses and liturgies.
• Contribute to school improvement planning for RE and liaise with Diocese and parish.
• Prepare for Catholic school inspection and provide evidence of RE provision.
• Promote pupils' moral, ethical and religious understanding and responsible citizenship.
