Job description

We are recruiting experienced Relief Support Workers to join an established team supporting people to enjoy an excellent quality of life. The Supported Living service in Bromham, Bedford supports five individuals with learning disabilities, some with mental health needs, and some on the autistic spectrum.

We offer an empowering support model that enables individuals to lead fulfilling lives, participate in their community, develop independent living skills, and achieve personal goals. As a Key Worker, you will support people in achieving their dreams and goals.

The role requires a high level of motivation, personal commitment, and demonstrable skills in engaging service users in planning their support. You will work professionally alongside Care Managers and health professionals, communicating positively with families, carers, and friends.

A minimum of twelve months of direct care experience in a comparable support setting is essential. You should have a 'can-do' approach, person-centered values, energy, and commitment. Good verbal and written communication skills and the ability to develop quality support plans are necessary. A strong work ethic and sense of duty of care are also important for contributing to a positive team environment.
