The Relief Support Worker role offers an opportunity to utilize your experience working with adults with learning disabilities and forensic backgrounds. This position is based in Heysham, Lancashire.
We are seeking individuals who are warm, understanding, and possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills. You should be highly motivated, interested in working with people with complex needs and histories, emotionally resilient, and open to collaborating with our Practice Lead to help the service learn and adapt alongside our service users.
Your responsibilities will include providing practical support to enable individuals to participate in community activities, developing personal support plans tailored to each individual's needs, and assisting service users in developing domestic, financial, and emotional management skills to promote independence and self-esteem. You will also liaise actively with statutory and voluntary agencies, as well as advocates and family members.
We are looking for dedicated, flexible, and responsive individuals who support the principles of recovery, are highly motivated, have a positive outlook, and can engage and motivate individuals to participate in various activities. An understanding of the challenges faced by our service users and awareness of supported living care delivery are essential. The role offers weekly pay.
