Job summary

Thera Trust is seeking enthusiastic support workers to join our inclusive team. You will help adults with learning disabilities achieve personal goals, provide personal and emotional support, and assist with daily living, home planning, leisure and travel.

We offer guaranteed monthly salary through Annualised Hours, flexible working patterns, quick start, 28 days leave, training and DBS check. No prior experience required as full training is provided.

Supporting people in their daily lives is varied and could include helping someone develop new skills, providing personal and emotional support, helping people plan and manage their own home, support with leisure, employment, individual interests, and travel. This can be a fun and rewarding but also at times challenging and demanding role.

You may be supporting people in their own home or out and about in their community.

Who are we looking for?

• No previous experience or qualifications required as full training will be provided, however, unless specified otherwise
• You must be comfortable with lone working & supporting individuals with Mental Health Needs
• Compassionate, Caring and Confident
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Self-starter, with a high level of motivation
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Confident, articulate, and professional
• Keenness to learn in a fast-paced environment and creatively solve problems
