Job summary

Securitas is seeking a Relief Security Officer for Bridgend. The role involves protecting employees, property, and assets across multiple sites. You’ll monitor CCTV and alarms, conduct patrols, manage access, and complete records and reports.

A full SIA licence is required before starting on operational shifts. Hours are 42 per week with a 4 on/4 off pattern. GBP 14.50 per hour, with learning and development opportunities and various benefits available from day one.

Qualifications

• Valid SIA licence.
• Flexibility to cover days, nights, weekends and public holidays.
• Right to work in the UK with a 5-year checkable history.
• Strong English communication skills, written and spoken.
• Valid UK driving licence and access to a vehicle due to multiple site locations.

Responsibilities

• Prevent unauthorised access and monitor CCTV, fire alarms and intruder alarms.
• Conduct internal and external security patrols.
• Manage traffic control, parking restrictions and site access.
• Carry out routine security equipment checks.
• Manage keys, locking/unlocking duties and site equipment.
• Maintain accurate records, logbooks and incident reports.
• Issue visitor and contractor passes and handle lost property.
• Provide security cover across static sites and retail park locations.
