Job summary

Securitas UK is seeking a Relief Security Officer to provide security services across multiple sites in Hatfield, Harlow, Basildon, Canvey Islands, Chelmsford and Southend-on-Sea. You will protect people, property and information, monitor CCTV and alarms, carry out patrols, manage keys and keep logs, following site instructions.

Qualifications

• Valid SIA licence
• Driving licence
• Flexibility to work days, nights and weekends
• Right to work in the UK with a 5-year checkable history
• Physically fit and able to stand and walk for long periods
• Able to multitask including CCTV monitoring, patrols, incident response and report writing
• Strong attention to detail
• Able to follow procedures and policies
• Honest and trustworthy, demonstrates integrity
• Good decision-making in challenging situations
• Strong English communication (written and spoken)

Responsibilities

• Prevent and deter unauthorised access to sites; monitor alarms and CCTV
• Conduct external and internal security patrols as per instructions
• Carry out routine tests of security equipment
• Manage keys and perform locking/unlocking duties
• Maintain logbooks and records
• Issue visitor/contractor passes
• Provide support and information to staff, visitors, and contractors while safeguarding premises
