Job summary

Corps Security is seeking a highly skilled SIA Licensed Security Officer to cover various client premises, with a view to fixed shifts as opportunities arise. You will be trained to support holiday and sickness cover and may be offered permanent vacancies.

This role involves working on a variety of shifts, including days, nights and weekends. We offer a range of benefits as a Real Living Wage Foundation partner, comprehensive training, and career development opportunities.

Qualifications

  • Excellent communication skills and a strong customer focus.
  • A valid SIA Front-Line License - essential.
  • Confidence and ability to establish and maintain good working relationships at all levels.
  • Ability to meet deadlines, multitask and work under pressure.
  • Excellent IT skills including Microsoft Excel.
  • Full UK Driving Licence and own vehicle or reliable transport.
  • Able to achieve vetting to BS7858 and SC Standards.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain overall surveillance of the site, carrying out regular site patrols and recording these as per Corps and Customer requirements.
  • Ensure all visitors and contractors to site are correctly briefed, sign in and out of the site.
  • Record the entry and exit of deliveries whilst on site, including processing paperwork in line with site quality procedures.
  • Ensure patrols are carried out to the correct standards.
  • Set and unset primary and secondary alarm systems for out-of-hours security, if applicable.
  • Comply with site waste management procedures.
  • Complete documents such as daily occurrence logs, shift handover, incident/accident records and site-specific reports.
  • Familiarise with Assignment Instructions, Risk Assessments, and other safety documents; advise Corps Duty Manager and/or client personnel on changes or recommendations to improve.
  • Maintain training records via Corps Colleague Portal, ensuring first aid and fire marshal training meet guidelines.
  • Continuously apply SIA skills, maintaining professionalism and displaying license at all times.
  • Perform ad hoc duties as directed.

We are looking for a highly skilled SIA Licensed Security Officer to be trained and required to work at several of our client’s premises to assist us with holiday and sickness cover, with a view to being allocated a fixed shift pattern, when the opportunities arise. You will be working on a various hours contract covering Days, Nights and Weekends.

What you will need:
