Job summary

Securitas in Grimsby, UK, is hiring a Relief Security Officer on a 36-hour week with day, night and weekend shifts. The role pays £14 per hour and offers strong Learning & Development opportunities and a range of benefits.

You’ll help protect people and property, conduct patrols, monitor alarms and CCTV, manage access, and deliver excellent customer service while developing a career in security through comprehensive training and progression.

Qualifications

• A valid SIA licence.
• Flexibility to work days, nights and weekends.
• Security experience.
• Right to work in the UK, with a 5-year checkable history.
• Good English communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Prevent and deter unauthorized access; monitor alarms and CCTV.
• Conduct external and internal security patrols as instructed.
• Manage keys and locking/unlocking duties.
• Provide traffic control and parking restrictions.
• Maintain logbooks and visitor/contractor passes.
• Carry out routine tests of security equipment.
• Ensure equipment is used according to procedures.
• Support a safe, welcoming site environment.

Job Description

Responsibilities

You’ll play an important role in keeping people, property, and information secure. Your responsibilities will include:

• Prevent and deter unauthorized access to site. Monitor fire alarms, intruder alarms, and CCTV as appropriate.
• Conduct external and internal security patrols as detailed in the Assignment Instructions.
• Provide traffic control and apply parking restrictions as required.
• Carry out routine tests of security equipment where appropriate.
• Manage keys and perform locking and unlocking duties as detailed in the Assignment Instructions.
• Ensure any equipment provided by the customer and Securitas is managed in accordance with procedures detailed in the Assignment Instructions.
• Maintain all logbooks and records as detailed in the Assignment Instructions.
• Issue visitor/contractor passes in accordance with the Assignment Instructions.
• Deal with lost property in accordance with the Assignment Instructions.
