Job summary

Securitas UK is hiring a Relief Security Officer for Glasgow/Ayrshire. You will provide security across multiple sites, ensuring safety and a professional presence. Roles include patrolling, access control, and assisting staff and visitors while you cover flexible shifts days, nights and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Provide a visible and professional security presence across multiple sites as required.
• Welcome, support, and assist staff, visitors and contractors.
• Work flexibly to cover a range of shifts, including days, nights and weekends.
• Follow site procedures and ensure compliance with relevant regulations.
• Support emergency responses, including evacuations and searches where required.
• Remain alert, report incidents accurately, and help prevent disruption.
• Maintain clear and accurate records, including logs and handovers.

We’re hiring: Relief Security Officer

Location: Glasgow / Ayrshire (Relief Cover) with on site parking.

Pay: £13.45 per hour

Hours: Minimum 36 hours per week – Days, Nights, and Weekends

About The Role

As a Relief Security Officer, you’ll provide professional and reassuring security cover across multiple client sites. Your presence will help ensure people feel safe, respectful, and supported at all times.

You’ll carry out a range of duties depending on the site and shift, including patrols, access control, and customer-facing responsibilities. You’ll be trusted to work independently when required, while also being part of a wider, supportive team.

This is a role for someone who takes pride in being dependable, approachable, and alert. You’ll be an ambassador for both Securitas and our clients, representing our values through your actions every day.
