Job summary

Carlisle Support Services is recruiting a Relief Retail Security Officer to support Tesco sites across North Wales. You will cover holidays and sickness with varying shifts, typically 6am-3pm and 3pm-11pm/midnight, with flexibility to suit you.

A competitive £14.65/hour rate is paid monthly and full induction and training are provided. The role offers opportunities to work across multiple locations, with access to a company pension, health plans, and wages access through Stream.

Qualifications

• Age 18+ and eligible to work in the UK.
• SIA Guarding or Door Supervision licence.
• Minimum 5 years of checkable work and address history.
• Reliable, punctual, flexible and well-presented.
• Experience in security or customer-facing role preferred.
• Ability to interact positively with clients and the public.
• Willing to provide documentation for screening.

Responsibilities

• Ensure colleague safety and provide a sense of assurance.
• Provide a smart, visible, proactive security presence.
• Effective conflict management and incident control.
• Control access and egress and conduct patrols.
• Engage with the public professionally.
• Be aware of hazards and respond appropriately.
• Provide guidance and direct customers as first point of contact.
