Job summary

Mitie Group plc. is seeking a confident Retail Security Officer to protect people and property, deter loss and create a safe shopping experience on the shop floor. You will bring energy, professionalism and a calm presence to customers and colleagues.

This relief role covers Rugby, Northampton and Kettering, with weekend work and a fully paid lunch break (£13.23 per hour). Flexible shifts and induction ensure you are supported and valued from day one.

What You'll Be Doing

• Providing a visible, reassuring presence on the shop floor
• Delivering outstanding customer service at all times
• Deterring theft, anti-social behaviour and public order offences
• Carrying out regular store patrols
• Operating CCTV systems to reduce crime and stock loss
• Working closely with store management teams
• Supporting partnerships with Police and local crime networks
• Using Body Worn CCTV to enhance safety for everyone onsite

What You'll Need

• A valid SIA licence (or willingness to complete the training - we may be able to support you with this)
• A full 5-year checkable employment or education history (this is essential for vetting)

£13.23 per hour + Paid Lunch Break

Relief position covering the following places.

Rugby, Northampton, Kettering
