Job summary

Comhairle nan Eilean Siar is seeking a Relief Support for Learning Assistant in Lewis & Harris, offering £15.94 per hour (including £1.55 Distant Islands Allowance). The role supports children with additional needs, assisting in mainstream classes and guiding pupils with school work under the teacher's direction. Qualifications

• Experience working with children, as a parent, volunteer, or professional.
• Understanding of basic needs of children.
• Ability to cooperate with others and work effectively as part of a team.
• Patient, cheerful personality with a flexible, open and caring approach.

Responsibilities

• Support children with additional support needs in mainstream classes and assist pupils with school work under the direction of the class teacher.
• Supervise children during intervals and lunch breaks.
