Job summary

Corkey House is seeking a Relief Housekeeper to work in the Laundry Department within a Christian ethos setting run by the Council for Social Witness of the Presbyterian Church in Ireland. You will perform domestic duties across toilets, bathrooms, bedrooms, corridors, and offices, while supporting care staff to meet residents' needs.

The role is on an as-and-when-required basis, suitable for flexible candidates who value dignity, respect and the well-being of residents in a residential home.

Qualifications

• Ability to work well as part of a team
• Understanding the needs of older people in a residential setting

Responsibilities

• Clean and tidy toilets, bathrooms, bedrooms, corridors
• Maintain dignity, confidentiality and respect for residents
• Support care staff in meeting residents' needs
• Wash, iron and distribute residents’ clothes
• Ensure appliances are kept in good order per health and safety
